Large temporary flat-walled rooms have long been an expensive proposition, often out of reach for many events or exhibits. When built from conventional scenic flats or trade show framing materials, the standard unit is available in only 4’ widths with limited height options. AV Drop provides a superior solution. With its ability to easily create wall sections up to 8’ wide and reaching heights of 16’-20’ when ground supported, options for height, width and overall flexibility are incrementally increased.
Walls can be single-sided or double-sided. Double-sided walls create an even more finished look and can accommodate doors. Wrapping existing rooms is another popular method of masking the existing space to create a custom look tailored to your needs. This works well for events ranging from a runway show to an exhibit space. Whether in the middle of an empty exposition center or in almost any other clear space, with AV Drop, these masked or temporary walled rooms provide superior solutions.
The skin is what makes AV Drop a reality. The systems rigid but modular framework is wrapped with a skin, a flexible IFR textile fabric that is attached with hook and loop, to create a flat wall solution.
The perimeter of the rear side of every AV Drop frame is covered in Velcro Hook to catch the skin which has Velcro loop stitched on. The high stretch memory allows for the skin to be pulled tight minimizing wrinkles and dimples.
If a full-walled or wrapped room of AV Drop is not in your budget, we offer an economical hybrid solution using a combination of AV Drop with Pipe and Drape.
Single- or double-sided, the same opportunities to custom brand entire printed walls or strategically place gallery drop prints is always an option as well.
Things to Consider
- Your choice of seamed or non-seamed depends on budget, aesthetic and your choice of fabric. Seamless is limited to specific fabric sizes & colors, as well as printing options.
- Enough space must be allotted for stabilizers (jacks) behind the set. The jack width varies with set height.
- All AV Drop walls are exact sizes. Dimensions cannot change onsite.
- Please confirm room height and obstructions prior to finalizing the design. We recommend a minimum of 1 foot between lowest ceiling point and AV Drop set.
- Typical AV Drop seams are tight
- Custom designs and large-scale jobs may be subject to additional fees for production coordination and planning.
