With the advent of edge blending for video and the growing use of panoramic projection screens becoming more common in corporate event set design, AV-Drop delivers world class solutions to the marketplace for AV Producers worldwide. 

With any seamless projection surface, how it is supported and framed is a primary consideration. AV-Drop shines here as the modular backdrop frames create easily reconfigurable solutions. The ability to repurpose the components to create multiple sizes allows for a high ROI and cost savings, as well.

The most common choices for technical and wide format performance fabrics are muslin and seamless or welded PVC. Either of these wide screen surfaces are stretched across frames constructed as single or multiple units clamped together. In some circumstances, a seamless solution may not be in the budget or may not be required. Screens with seams can be used for a wide range of projects, as well. If the presentation is without the details of charts, graphs, or copy, minimal seams are typically fine, and more budget friendly.

The skin is what makes AV-Drop a reality. The systems rigid but modular framework is wrapped with a skin, a flexible IFR textile fabric that is attached with hook and loop, to create a flat wall solution.

The perimeter of the rear side of every Av-Drop frame is covered in Velcro tm Hook to catch the skin which has Velcro loop stitched on. The high stretch memory allows for the skin to be pulled tight minimizing wrinkles and dimples.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Your choice of seamed or non-seamed depends on budget, aesthetic and your choice of fabric. Seamless is limited to specific fabric sizes & colors, as well as printing options.
  • Enough space must be allotted for stabilizers (jacks) behind the set. The jack width varies with set height.
  • All AV-Drop walls are exact sizes. Dimensions cannot change onsite.
  • Please confirm room height and obstructions prior to finalizing the design. We recommend a minimum of 1 foot between lowest ceiling point and AV-Drop set.
  • Typical AV-Drop seams are tight
  • Custom designs and large-scale jobs may be subject to additional fees for production coordination and planning.
